Objective

The objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive framework for site selection that incorporates both quantitative and qualitative factors to guide businesses and developers in making informed location decisions.

Abstract

The selection of an ideal site for any project, whether it’s for a retail store, industrial facility, or residential development, is a critical process that can greatly impact the long-term success of the venture. The process involves evaluating various factors such as geographic location, accessibility, economic conditions, environmental sustainability, and social factors. Effective site selection requires a comprehensive approach that incorporates both quantitative data and qualitative judgments. Geographic location plays a crucial role in determining the potential market reach, logistical convenience, and accessibility for employees and customers. Additionally, economic factors such as land cost, taxation policies, and the availability of incentives must be considered to ensure financial feasibility. Environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance also hold significant importance, especially in the face of growing concerns about climate change and resource conservation. The ideal site must also be socially and culturally appropriate to the target demographic, ensuring long-term viability. This study examines the critical factors involved in site selection and proposes a framework for businesses and developers to follow when making decisions about location.
