The objective of this project is to enhance data security by implementing an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm to encrypt text before covertly embedding it within image files. The primary goal is to develop a robust encryption and embedding process, ensuring data confidentiality and imperceptibility. The project aims to explore covert communication techniques, emphasizing secure key management for accurate decryption. Through this implementation, the objective is to contribute to the field of cryptographic image hiding, offering an effective and secure method for protecting sensitive information during storage and transmission
Steganography is the method of hiding the data where sharing of data is present, by hiding data in other data. A major issue for computer networks is to prevent important information from being disclosed to illegal users. Encryption is a method of encrypting the text and images. Encrypted message can be decrypted using some key. Any hacker can find the key and decrypt it as he knows if he find it is encrypted. Cryptography is the science and practice of securing communication and information through the use of mathematical techniques and algorithms. It involves encrypting and decrypting data to ensure confidentiality, verifying the integrity of information, authenticating the identity of communicating parties, and preventing the repudiation of actions. Cryptography plays a crucial role in cybersecurity, protecting sensitive data in various applications. This project proposes to build a secured algorithm AES on text before hiding the data (cipher text) in image. The cipher text will hide in the image .By using proper key only image and text will be decoded.
