Commute Co Ethereum Car Pooling web App

Project Code :TCMAPY1630

Objective

The primary objective of the Commute Co Ethereum Car Pooling Web App is to develop a secure, transparent, and decentralized platform that facilitates efficient ride-sharing between users and drivers. By integrating blockchain technology, particularly the Ethereum network, the system aims to eliminate the need for a centralized authority, ensuring data immutability, transaction security, and user trust. The application provides dedicated modules for Users, Drivers, and Admins to streamline the carpooling process and deliver a seamless experience. For users, the platform allows registration, login, viewing and joining available car pools, booking rides, and accessing route maps through the integrated Maps API. For drivers, it offers functionalities such as ride creation, management, and handling user ride requests. The admin module is responsible for monitoring and managing users and car pools to maintain the platform’s integrity and safety.

Abstract

The Commute Co Ethereum Car Pooling Web App is a decentralized ride-sharing platform designed to optimize urban transportation by securely connecting users and drivers through blockchain technology. The system leverages the transparency and immutability of Ethereum to manage carpooling operations such as ride creation, booking, and user management, thereby enhancing trust and reducing fraud. The platform consists of three core modules: User, Driver, and Admin.

Users can log in, view available car pools, create or join car pools, book rides, and track ride locations using an integrated Maps API. Drivers are empowered to register, log in, create and manage rides, and handle ride requests through an intuitive interface. Admins maintain oversight by monitoring users and car pools, ensuring compliance and system integrity.

By integrating blockchain with web technologies and geolocation services, the application ensures secure transactions, reliable data sharing, and efficient ride management, making it a sustainable and user-centric solution for smart urban mobility.
