Wavelet Based Digital Image Watermarking Algorithm Using Fractal Images

Abstract

This project is used to increasing the development of information technology, electronic publishing is fetching more popular, so need to protect the information. Digital watermarking is used to protect digital data. We embed the fractal images in wavelet domain using LWT (Lifting Wavelet transform). 

Fractal image is generated from Quad tree decomposition and converted into binary image. This binary image is used as watermark. Cover image is converted into RGB components and binary watermark is inserted into mid frequency bands of cover image to protect information from attackers. 

Watermark is implanted in the blue component of RGB image. The PSNR, SSIM, and NC values obtained. It is robust against signal distortions such as contrast enhancement, gamma correction, image sharpening, Gaussian filter, etc.
