Unveiling the Future: Design and Development of an Intelligent Raspberry PI based Smart Mirror Design using Internet of Things Assistance

Project Code :TEMBMA3634

Objective

This project designs an intelligent smart mirror powered by Raspberry Pi that integrates IoT features for real-time updates and voice recognition, enhancing daily routines and creating a seamless smart home experience.

Abstract

The Smart Mirror is an innovative, interactive device that integrates modern technology with everyday utility, using a Raspberry Pi as the central processing unit. This project aims to transform a conventional mirror into a multifunctional smart device capable of displaying real-time information such as weather updates, news feeds, calendar events, and more. The Smart Mirror leverages a two-way mirror, behind which an LCD screen is mounted, connected to a Raspberry Pi running a customized software interface. The mirror is also equipped with IoT capabilities, allowing it to monitor environmental conditions and integrate with other smart home devices. The design emphasizes both functionality and aesthetics, ensuring that the device complements modern living spaces while enhancing daily routines with timely and relevant information. This project demonstrates the potential of Raspberry Pi in creating cost-effective, versatile, and user-friendly smart home solutions.
