Trusted Crowdfunding with Blockchain Technology

Objective

The main aim of the project is to resolve these issues raised through funding a project or venture by raising money from a large number of people, typically via the internet.

Abstract

The existing crowdfunding systems rely heavily on centralized servers for fund management, which introduces critical vulnerabilities such as the potential for data tampering by internal administrators and the inability for fundraisers to track the usage of their contributions. These limitations raise serious concerns about transparency and trust in the platform. To address these issues, the proposed project introduces a decentralized crowdfunding platform powered by Blockchain technology. By leveraging the immutable nature of Blockchain, each transaction is securely recorded as a block linked by unique hashcodes and distributed across multiple nodes. This ensures that any unauthorized modification on one node can be detected and prevented by verifying data consistency across the network. The system enables fundraisers to manage their Blockchain accounts, transfer funds to linked bank accounts or other Blockchain users, and monitor all their transaction histories transparently. Smart contracts written in Solidity define core operations such as adding users and processing transactions, which are deployed on the Ethereum network. These functions can be invoked using external applications built in any programming language to interact with the Blockchain, ensuring secure and tamper-proof data storage.
