Abstract

This project aims for designing and executing the advanced development in embedded systems for energy saving of street lights. This project gives a solution for electrical power wastage. Also, the manual operation of the lighting system is eliminated. The proposed system provides a solution for energy saving. This is achieved by sensing and approaching a vehicle using a Ping sensor-activated means upon sensing the movement the sensor transmits the data to the microcontroller which furthermore the street light 1 will be ON while pressing the switch for a particular time and after that will be in OFF position. Similarly, the sensor will be activated means street light 2 will be ON and while pressing the switch for some time, after that will be OFF position. If the sensor will activate means street light 3 will be activated that will be in ON position and finally that will be uploaded in the server through the internet.
