The objective of this project is to develop a Stock Price Monitoring and Alert Notification System using the MERN stack. The system aims to help users track real-time stock prices, analyse market trends, and receive instant email alerts when specified price conditions are met. It ensures secure user authentication and provides separate functionalities for Admin and User modules. Overall, the goal is to create a reliable, user-friendly platform that automates stock monitoring and supports timely investment decisions.
The Stock Price Monitoring and Alert Notification System is a web-based application developed using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js). The system enables users to track real-time stock prices, analyse market trends, and receive customized alert notifications via email when specific price thresholds are reached. It provides a seamless and interactive dashboard for monitoring stock performance and making informed investment decisions. The system includes two primary modules: Admin and User. The Admin module allows administrators to securely log in, manage user accounts, and configure API keys for fetching live stock data. The User module enables individual users to register, log in, set up personalized stock watchlists, define alert conditions, and view analytical insights on selected stocks. By integrating modern web technologies, the system ensures scalability, security, and high performance. The use of React.js enhances the user interface with responsive, real-time updates, while Node.js and Express.js handle server-side operations and API communication efficiently. MongoDB serves as a flexible NoSQL database for storing user information, stock details, and alert settings. This project aims to simplify stock monitoring, improve decision-making for investors, and demonstrate the practical implementation of a full-stack MERN application with real-time data integration and notification functionalities.
