Objective

Develop an advanced Smart Traffic Safety System that integrates automated helmet detection technology with dynamic signal control to enhance road safety. The system aims to reduce accidents, injuries, and fatalities by enforcing helmet usage among motorcyclists and optimizing traffic signal patterns based on real-time traffic conditions.

Abstract

This abstract presents a Smart Traffic Safety System integrating YOLOv2-based Automated Helmet Detection and Dynamic Signal Control. With a focus on enhancing road safety, the system employs YOLOv2, a state-of-the-art object detection algorithm, to identify helmet usage among motorcyclists. 

The system incorporates Dynamic Signal Control to optimize traffic flow based on the detected helmet status. By dynamically adjusting traffic signals in response to the helmet detection results, the system aims to enhance overall road safety and efficiency. The proposed solution leverages advanced computer vision techniques for accurate and efficient helmet detection, coupled with intelligent traffic signal control strategies to create a comprehensive Smart Traffic Safety System. 

The integration of these components showcases a promising approach to proactively address road safety concerns and improve traffic management in a technologically advanced and automated manner.
