Smart Traffic Light Control System

Abstract

In recent days traffic is the main problems in the road journey. We have many systems for controlling the traffic, but some people do not follow the rules of traffic system. When the traffic light indicates the red some people stops their vehicles on zebra cross line. When this type of things happened at traffic signal pedestrians will face problems to cross the roads and also creates the problems to the vehicles moving in the other direction and causes the many accidents on the roads. To reduce this type of problems we are designed smart traffic light control system. In this system we have used servo motors to control the traffic. The servo motors with needles block the road when the red signal is turned on and allows the road when the green signal is turned on. The controlling is done by the Arduino microcontroller. And street lights are controlled by the LDR. At the day time the resistance is high, it will not turn on the lights and night time its resistance is low it will turn on the lights.
