Objective

The primary objective is to develop an AI-powered traffic incident reporting system that enables citizens to report real-time incidents with images and location data. The system leverages Gemini AI to automatically classify incident severity and provide actionable recommendations. It aims to reduce emergency response times, improve resource allocation for traffic authorities, offer role-based dashboards for citizens, authorities, and administrators, and provide comprehensive analytics for data-driven traffic management decisions, ultimately enhancing road safety and urban mobility.

The Smart Traffic Incident Reporting System is an AI-powered platform designed to enhance urban traffic management through real-time incident reporting and intelligent analysis. The system enables citizens to report traffic incidents including accidents, traffic jams, road damage, signal failures, and illegal parking by submitting images, descriptions, and location data. Each report is processed through Google's Gemini AI, which analyzes the content to determine severity levels (low, medium, high, critical) and provides actionable recommendations for traffic authorities. The system incorporates role-based dashboards for citizens, traffic authorities, and administrators, ensuring efficient incident tracking and resolution. Traffic authorities receive instant notifications for high-severity incidents, can update incident status, and access performance metrics. Administrators manage users, monitor system analytics, and generate comprehensive reports. Key features include real-time geolocation, interactive maps, automated notifications, performance analytics, and data export capabilities. The platform utilizes MongoDB for data storage, Express.js for backend services, React for frontend interfaces, and integrates Gemini AI for intelligent incident classification. This solution aims to reduce response times, improve road safety, and enable data-driven decision-making for traffic management authorities.
