Objective

The goal of this project is to connect the users to a system where they can perform pre-booking the books as per their desire. Such system saves time for the owner of the application and increases convenience to the users.

Abstract

The growing popularity of web-based systems and the need to explore the notification technology that libraries could benefit to enhance their services to the users. The smart library management system for library books keeps track of books present in the library. It is used for assisting and notifying a librarian in managing the books. This includes adding, viewing, deleting, issuing, and status of the borrowed books extending its hands to notification-based content alert regarding books. Books are borrowed when they are available under registration and when the books aren't available we make use of drop-off notification which notifies us when the book is arrived and available in the library. When the book is available for pick-up, a notification is sent to the email address in your library account. We wait until we receive a notification that your holds are ready for pickup. It is an efficient software which will be very useful at colleges and universities. This represents a notification-based content alert and web-based system using notification technology. It was specifically developed for the alert notification to the patrons about the availability of the reserved books. The main purpose of developing notification-based content alerts in the library system is to reduce the cost and time consuming, which is beneficial to the librarian and patrons. Therefore, the system was designed to send an alert notification to the patrons about the availability of the book reserved.
