The objective of the Sign Language Recognition using Flex Sensor project is to develop a smart communication system that converts hand gestures into text and speech using flex sensors and Arduino Nano. The system aims to help speech and hearing impaired individuals communicate more easily and effectively through real-time gesture recognition and voice output.
The Smart Glove for Real-Time Sign Language Translation aims to help people with speech or hearing disabilities communicate easily with others. The glove uses flex sensors and a MEMS accelerometer (ADXL345) to detect finger and hand movements that represent sign language gestures. These signals are processed by an Arduino Nano, which converts them into corresponding text on an LCD and voice output through a speaker or voice module. This low-cost and portable system enables real-time gesture translation, promoting better communication and social inclusion for differently-abled individuals.
