SMART BAGGAGE TRACKER

Project Code :TEMBMA3505

Objective

"Introducing a Smart Baggage Tracker leveraging GPS and IoT technologies, offering location updates and notifications, ensuring peace of mind for travelers and efficient baggage management

Abstract

This project focuses on the development of an innovative Smart Baggage Tracker system utilizing GPS, GSM, and sensor integration to enhance security and monitoring capabilities. The system incorporates various components including GPS for location tracking, GSM for communication, magnetic sensors to detect the presence of the bag, IR sensors to detect unauthorized access, and an Arduino Mega microcontroller for data processing and control. Additionally, a buzzer and LCD display are integrated to provide audible alerts and status updates. The primary objective of the system is to prevent theft and unauthorized access to baggage by providing timely notifications to the user and authorities. When the magnetic sensor detects movement indicating theft, the system automatically sends an alert message containing the bag's location to predefined contacts. Conversely, upon receiving a specific SMS command, the system responds by providing the current location of the bag. Furthermore, the IR sensor triggers a buzzer alarm and sends an SMS alert if unauthorized access to the bag is detected. This innovative Smart Baggage Tracker system aims to provide travelers with peace of mind and enhance security measures for their belongings, ultimately improving the safety and convenience of travel experiences.
