The realm of smart agriculture with IoT technology, where monitoring of aquaponics and hydroponics systems empowers growers with data-driven insights, optimizing plant health and yields sustainably.
This project presents a smart aquaponics and hydroponics monitoring system using IoT technology, with an Arduino Mega as the main microcontroller. The system integrates various sensors, including a pH sensor for monitoring water pH levels, a temperature sensor for assessing environmental conditions, an LDR sensor for detecting light intensity, and a soil moisture sensor for water level checking. The pH sensor enables automatic adjustment of water acidity using a relay and DC motor, while the LDR sensor controls lighting based on ambient light conditions. The soil moisture sensor activates a pump to maintain optimal moisture levels. Additionally, a turbidity sensor measures water clarity. The system sends alerts via GSM, providing comprehensive monitoring and management for efficient aquaponics and hydroponics operations. This innovative approach enhances plant growth and water quality, optimizing resource use and ensuring a stable growing environment.
