The primary objective of this project is to develop a secure and reliable emergency alert system that ensures timely assistance and enhances personal safety. The system aims to enable users to register, log in, and manage their profiles while maintaining secure data storage. It provides the functionality to add emergency contacts and trigger an SOS alert that simultaneously sends email notifications, shares real-time location, and records audio and video evidence. By integrating blockchain technology, the project seeks to ensure data integrity, immutability, and protection against unauthorized access or tampering. Additionally, the system is designed to be scalable and user-friendly, leveraging the MERN stack to provide a fast, efficient, and responsive web application. Ultimately, the objective is to create a trustworthy platform that supports rapid emergency response and reliable communication in critical situations.
This project implements a secure emergency alert system using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) integrated with blockchain technology for enhanced security and data integrity. Users can register and log in to the platform, add emergency contacts, and manage their profiles through an intuitive interface. In an emergency, users can click the SOS button, which triggers multiple simultaneous actions: sending an email alert to emergency contacts, recording and storing audio and video evidence, and sharing the user's real-time location. All critical activities and data are securely recorded on a blockchain ledger, ensuring an immutable and transparent record that prevents tampering and unauthorized access. This combination of MERN's fast, scalable web architecture with blockchain's decentralized security guarantees a reliable, trustworthy system that supports timely and verifiable emergency responses, protecting users when they need help the most.
