Real-Time Vehicle Tracking System for Theft Prevention Using ESP8266 and GPS

Project Code :TEMBMA3587

Objective

To develop an IoT-based vehicle tracking system that uses ESP8266 and GPS technology to provide real-time location updates for stolen vehicles, facilitating their recovery and enhancing security.

Abstract

The Vehicle Thief Tracking System leverages modern IoT technology to provide a robust solution for tracking stolen vehicles. This system utilizes an ESP8266 microcontroller unit (MCU) to manage data from a GPS module, which continuously records the vehicle's location coordinates. These coordinates are then transmitted to a web server hosted on Adafruit IO via WIFI, enabling remote monitoring. The data is visualized on an integrated map, allowing users to track the vehicle's movement efficiently. This system enhances vehicle security by providing location updates, aiding in the swift recovery of stolen vehicles and offering peace of mind to vehicle owners.
