The objective is to design a railway safety robot that uses GPS to detect track errors or damages in real time, ensuring timely maintenance and improved railway safety.
This project presents a railway safety robot using Arduino Uno, a robotic chassis, two IR sensors, an ultrasonic sensor, GPS module, red LED, and buzzer. The robot travels along railway tracks and continuously monitors track conditions. The IR sensors detect track faults such as cracks or misalignments, while the ultrasonic sensor identifies obstacles on the track. When a fault or obstacle is detected, the system activates the red LED and buzzer for immediate alerts. The GPS module records the location of the detected issue, helping maintenance teams quickly locate and resolve problems. The system provides a low-cost and automated solution for improving railway safety and track inspection.
