Performance Evaluation of OFDM, FBMC and UFMC for Wireless Communication

Project Code :TMMACO149

Objective

To compare 5G modulation techniques like UFMC, FBMC, and OFDM by evaluating PSD, SNR, and BER for improved wireless communication.

Abstract

In this paper, a comparison of 5G modulation techniques like Multi-Carrier Filter Band UFMC and FBMC, or universal filter multi carrier, to OFDM stands for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing suggested, which is used in communications over 4G. We assess essential features of different modulation techniques to evaluate the benefits of each method for 5G wireless communication. For, the metrics used for evaluation and assessment are Power Spectral Density (PSD), Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR), Bit Error Rate (BER).

KEYWORDS: FBMC, OFDM, QAM, UFMC, Bit Error Rate (BER).
