Abstract

The complexity of power distribution network is increasing day by day with rapid increase in power demand. For monitoring and control of this complex power network, application of smart grid technologies is essential. These technologies can also improve the overall system reliability and system security. A two-way communication network is the main requirement for optimal operation of a smart grid through a two-way communication channel. This project implements a Smart Grid architecture implemented with the help of XCTU. The quest for sustainable energy models is the main factor driving research on smart grid technology. This Smart Grid using XCTU is to provide the reliable power supplies to the consumers.
