Project Code :TCMAFS1306

Objective

The objective of the Life Link project is to create a web-based platform that simplifies and streamlines the organ donation process. It aims to improve efficiency by automating tasks, enhancing communication between donors, recipients, hospitals, and medical staff, and ensuring transparency in organ registration and allocation. The platform provides role-based access to Admins, Donors, Recipients, Hospital Staff, and Doctors, allowing them to manage their respective responsibilities effectively. Ultimately, the project seeks to increase the success rate of organ transplants and save lives.

Abstract

Life Link is an innovative web-based platform designed using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js) to facilitate efficient organ donation, hospital management, and patient care. The platform serves multiple user roles including Admins, Donors, Recipients, Hospital Staff, and Doctors, each with specific functionalities aimed at improving the overall organ donation process. Admins are responsible for managing user profiles, overseeing hospital information, and processing organ donation requests. Donors can register available organs for donation and track the status of their donation requests. Recipients can search for hospitals, view donation requests, and track the status of their organ requests, ensuring transparency in the donation process. Hospital Staff handle the management of available organs, schedule necessary tests for both donors and recipients, and provide logistical support. Doctors are responsible for scheduling appointments, reviewing medical reports, and ensuring quality patient care throughout the donation process. The platform incorporates secure role-based authentication, ensuring that each user can only access information relevant to their role. Built with React.js, the interface is responsive, offering seamless navigation across devices. The backend is powered by Node.js and Express.js, providing a robust and scalable foundation for handling user data and business logic, while MongoDB serves as the database for storing essential data such as user profiles, hospital information, and organ requests. Life Link enhances the accessibility, transparency, and efficiency of the organ donation system, ultimately improving the chances of life-saving transplants.
