The main objective of this project is to establish a network security surveillance system specifically designed for jewelry shops, providing comprehensive security measures and real-time monitoring to safeguard valuable assets and ensure the safety of both customers and staff.
Security is of paramount concern for jewelry shops, which often house valuable assets. This project presents a Network Security Surveillance System tailored to protect jewelry shops. The system incorporates a Raspberry Pi microcomputer, a USB camera for capturing images of potential intruders and uploading them to a server, a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor for detecting unauthorized entry, a buzzer for immediate alerts, and a servo motor for closing the door upon detecting an intruder.
The Network Security Surveillance System operates by continuously monitoring the jewelry shop's entrance. The PIR sensor detects the presence of individuals entering the shop, triggering the USB camera to capture images. These images are swiftly uploaded to a remote server for further analysis and evidence preservation. Simultaneously, the system activates a buzzer to provide immediate audio alerts, deterring potential thieves. The servo motor is engaged to secure the door, preventing further access. This innovative system offers comprehensive security measures to safeguard jewelry shops against theft and unauthorized access, providing both protection and evidence for law enforcement. The study also addresses the potential for further development and refinements to enhance its practical use.
