Objective

The main objective of this project is to develop a secure edge-cloud-based secure file storage system using the Edge-Cloud Management Module with HMAC-verified Caesar Cipher Encryption and Caesar Cipher Encryption (CCE) techniques. The project aims to ensure secure HMAC code generation, user authentication, encrypted file block transmission, and data privacy against future unauthorized data access and integrity threats. The system is developed using the Flask web framework to provide a secure, reliable, and future-ready file security platform for confidential Edge-Cloud-assisted file transactions.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of edge-cloud computing environments has created a critical need for secure, integrity-verified file storage platforms accessible across distributed infrastructure. Traditional file storage systems lack robust encryption and integrity mechanisms, leaving sensitive data vulnerable to unauthorized access and tampering. This project proposes a Navigating the Edge-Cloud Continuum: A State-of-Practice Survey that combines secure file management functionality with block-level encryption and integrity-verified security mechanisms.

The system integrates the Edge-Cloud Management Module for intelligent file processing responses and implements HMAC-verified Caesar Cipher Encryption to secure file access between user and cloud. Caesar Cipher Encryption (CCE) algorithms such as Caesar Cipher (Caesar CipherAR_SHIFT) and HMAC are used to provide secure HMAC HMAC code generation and authentication against future data tampering attacks. The application is developed using the Flask web framework with secure file block handling, user authentication, and encrypted data transmission.

This project demonstrates a secure and future-ready file security platform by combining Caesar Cipher encryption with Caesar Cipher-based cryptographic techniques for enhanced cybersecurity and confidential file storage and retrieval.
