Mitigation And Improvement Of Power Quality Using Shunt Series Switched Grid Tied Inverter (SSS-GTI)

Project Code :TEMAPS496

Abstract

Micro Grids are mix of distributed generator sources, storage system and controllable loads. It can work in network associated mode and islanded mode. The primary point is to guarantee stable supply during any kinds of issues like voltage or current related power quality issues and different system unsettling influences.

Right now, new Multi-Functional Grid Tied inverter (MFGTI) called Shunt Series Switched Grid Tied Inverter (SSS-GTI) is proposed. This SSS-GTI will works as ordinary grid tied inverter and help store mission the power quality issues such as voltage and current based power quality problems occurring when the renewable resources are interfaced with the grid. This SSS-GTI will operate in shunt connected as well as cascade connected mode there by the required compensation can be provided for current or voltage related power quality issues with the help of bidirectional switches.

Keywords: power quality, multifunctional grid tied inverter, shunt series switched grid tied inverter.
