The objective of MediAssist is to develop a secure, scalable, and user-friendly platform that ensures patients have access to healthcare support whenever needed. The system aims to combine AI and human expertise to streamline consultations and prescriptions, provide real-time assistance, and manage patient-doctor interactions efficiently.
MediAssist is an intelligent healthcare platform built using Java Spring Boot for the backend, React.js for the frontend, and MySQL for database management. It aims to streamline medical consultations by offering real-time responses from doctors or an AI assistant based on patients’ symptoms. The platform offers three user roles: Admin, Doctor, and Patient. Admins can manage users, doctors, and patient records, while doctors set their availability, provide consultations, and prescribe treatments. Patients can submit health queries, receive doctor or AI responses, and get prescriptions. The AI system provides quick consultations when doctors are unavailable. Secure authentication using tokens and cookies ensures the platform's security. The goal is to provide accessible, fast, and reliable healthcare support for patients, leveraging both AI and human expertise.
