Objective

The main objective of the Local Service Finder system is to develop a secure, scalable, and user-friendly platform that streamlines service discovery, booking, scheduling, and management. The system aims to Enable users to easily browse and book local services. Provide service providers with tools to manage requests and service updates. Ensure real-time tracking of service status and communication. Facilitate secure online payments and transaction tracking. Allow administrators to monitor users, providers, bookings, and feedback efficiently. Improve transparency, reliability, and user satisfaction in local service delivery.

Abstract

The Local Service Finder – Service Booking and Management System is a modern, web-based platform designed to connect users with local service providers in an efficient, transparent, and structured manner. The system enables users to easily browse available services, book appointments, schedule services, make payments, and track service status in real time. It also facilitates service providers (agents) to register, manage services, handle customer requests, and update service progress, while administrators oversee platform operations, user management, service approvals, payments, and feedback monitoring. The system is developed using React.js for an interactive and responsive front-end, Node.js with Express.js for a robust back-end, and MongoDB for flexible and scalable data storage. This architecture ensures high performance, scalability, and seamless user experience across all modules. The platform supports role-based access for Admin, Service Providers, and Users, ensuring secure and organized workflow management. The primary aim of the system is to simplify the process of finding and booking local services while improving communication, transparency, and trust between users and service providers. It enhances service accessibility, reduces manual dependency, and ensures efficient service delivery through a centralized digital platform.
