Objective

The objective of the local care connect is to create a reliable and user-friendly platform that efficiently connects users with skilled volunteers for timely support. It aims to enable users to request services like home assistance, medical aid, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and grocery delivery, while allowing volunteers to manage requests, update service status, and share real-time locations. The system also provides admins with tools to monitor activities, manage users and volunteers, generate reports, and ensure transparency, accountability, and effective communication across all participants.

Abstract

This paper presents a web-based Local Care ConnectSystem designed to connect users with skilled volunteers for daily help and emergency services. The system allows users to request services such as medical support, home assistance, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, and grocery delivery. It includes three main roles: Admin, User, and Volunteer, each with specific functions to ensure smooth service coordination. Users can register, request help, track service status, communicate with volunteers, share online meetings, track volunteer location, and give feedback. Volunteers can manage service requests, update work status, communicate with users and admins, and view feedback. Admins manage users and volunteers, monitor requests and complaints, and generate reports. The system is built using React JS for the frontend, Node.js and Express JS for the backend, and MongoDB for data storage. Real-time features like chat and location tracking improve transparency and efficiency. This platform makes it easier to manage volunteer services and improves access to timely assistance.
