The objective of this project is to engage non-cyber students in cybersecurity education through gamification and game-based learning. By integrating blockchain technology, the platform ensures transparent tracking of student progress, including achievements, level completions, feedback, and badges. The goal is to enhance student motivation, improve retention of cybersecurity concepts, and inspire exploration of the cybersecurity field.
The project "Leveraging Gamification and Game-based Learning in Cybersecurity Education: Engaging and Inspiring Non-Cyber Students with Blockchain Technology" aims to enhance the learning experience of non-cyber students by integrating game-based learning with cybersecurity concepts. By leveraging gamification, students are motivated to participate in educational activities, achieving better engagement and retention of complex cybersecurity topics. The system incorporates blockchain technology to ensure transparency, security, and immutability of student achievements, such as level completions, feedback, and badges earned throughout the learning journey. Students progress through levels, complete tasks, and participate in knowledge test, which are tracked and recorded on the blockchain. The use of blockchain creates a trustworthy record of student accomplishments, ensuring academic integrity. This platform not only enhances learning outcomes but also inspires non-cyber students to explore cybersecurity fields, bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical application.
