Abstract

Automation of lab tasks or Lab Management System Project in java is developed to minimize the difficulties in maintaining the students database .Report generation by faculty is performed easily by faculty. A very brief guidance is provided through syntaxes and sample programs to the students. Security is provided to the records by only allowing authenticated users to access the system. In the Existing system Faculty maintains the students’ data manually in task evolution sheet. The time duration of report generation is high, because of the operations on student   data are performed manually by the faculty. In the proposed System Faculty is able to post and update marks of students. All the users of automation of lab tasks can give and view the feedback and faculty is able to provide notices related to tasks, like date of task submission, dates of lab examinations. The students are provided permissions to view the notices only. Once the student logged into the lab automatically his/her attendance and marks will be posted. Administrator maintains database and solves if any technical problems occurred by using technologies like servlets, jsps using tomcat server and can retrieve the data from database using MYSQL.
