This project introduces an IoT-based smart fire notification alert system for homes and offices, providing fire detection and immediate alerts to enhance safety and emergency response.
This project introduces an IoT-based smart home and office fire notification alert system designed to enhance safety and automation through real-time monitoring and alerts. The system is built around a microcontroller integrated with various environmental sensors and a GPS module to enable intelligent responses and precise location reporting. An LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) is used for ambient light detection, enabling automatic LED control for efficient lighting. A DHT11 temperature sensor continuously monitors the environment and activates a fan when the temperature exceeds a set threshold, maintaining optimal indoor conditions. For hazard prevention, a gas sensor detects high concentrations of flammable gases and immediately stops the DC motor to prevent escalation. In the event of a fire or gas leak, the system sends an instant alert via SMS, including the exact GPS coordinates, to a predefined mobile number, ensuring swift emergency response. By combining automation, environmental monitoring, and real-time alerting, this system significantly improves safety, energy efficiency, and situational awareness in both residential and office environments.
