The main objective of this project is to create an IoT-based anti-theft flooring mat system using Raspberry Pi, designed to detect unauthorized access or tampering and provide security alerts to prevent theft or intrusion
The rising concerns over security and theft prevention have led to the development of innovative and technologically advanced solutions. This project introduces an IoT-Based Anti-Theft Flooring Mat System designed to safeguard properties by leveraging the power of Raspberry Pi. The system incorporates key components such as a Raspberry Pi microcomputer, a Passive Infrared (PIR) sensor to detect unauthorized intruders, a USB camera to capture photographs of potential thieves, a servo motor to close the door upon detection of an intruder, and a buzzer to provide immediate alerts.
The Anti-Theft Flooring Mat System functions by continuously monitoring the area for unauthorized entry. The PIR sensor detects human presence and triggers the USB camera to capture images of the intruder. Simultaneously, upon detecting an intruder, the servo motor activates to close the door, thwarting any unauthorized access. The system also employs a buzzer to provide an immediate audio alert, enhancing the security measures. This IoT-based solution offers a robust and responsive approach to property security, potentially deterring theft and vandalism while providing critical evidence for law enforcement.
