Integration of photovoltaic energy into the electrical network using a multi-level(three level SVPWM) inverter with Z source

Also Available Domains Multilevel Converters

Project Code :TEMAPS556

Objective

The main objective of this paper is to reduce no. of. Power switches and the reduction of system cost and size in solar power generation system.

Abstract

In this paper, global warming and the shortage of fossil fuels have led to the development of renewable energy resources in order to satisfy the future energy demand of depleting plant. Multilevel inverters compared to single level inverters have advantages like minimum harmonic distortions, reduced EMI generation. MLI is conversion device that is generally used in medium voltage and high power application. This paper proposed a new solar power generation system which is composed of a Z-source network and neutral point clamped based ML Converter. In this inverter topology proposed for reduced harmonic distortion. The performance of the proposed method results by using Matlab/Simulink Software.

Keywords: Multilevel Inverter, pulse width modulation, solar panel, load, Z-source Converter.
