Hand Gestures Mechanism for Controlling and Supervising the Smart Mattress

Project Code :TEMBMA3744

Objective

The main objective is to develop a smart mattress system that adjusts bed positions using hand gestures for easier control, especially for disabled patients. It also monitors vital signs and sends alerts to doctors to improve patient safety and comfort.

Abstract

This project presents a hand gesture-based smart mattress control system using Arduino, a gesture sensor, LCD display, motor driver, and DC motor. The gesture sensor detects hand movements and sends commands to the Arduino, which controls the DC motor through the motor driver to adjust the mattress position upward or downward. The LCD displays the current operating status of the mattress. The contactless control mechanism improves convenience, comfort, and accessibility for elderly individuals, patients, and people with limited mobility, providing an intelligent and user-friendly healthcare solution.
