Project Code :TEPGCS136

Objective

The main objective of this project is to develop a fuzzy logic-based energy management system (EMS) for battery and fuel cell hybrid vehicles. This system aims to optimize power distribution between the battery and the electric motor, enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of electric vehicles (EVs).

Abstract

In this paper presents an Electric vehicle, or EVs, have attracted a lot of interest as a potentially effective way to reduce pollutants that contribute to climate change and increase fuel economy. In order to optimize the power distribution between the battery and the electric motor (EM), effective Energy Management Systems (EMS) must be put in place in order to fully realize the benefits of EVs. This abstract introduces fuzzy logic, a computational method influenced by human decision-making processes, as a unique approach to EV energy management. Through simulation tests, the effectiveness of the recently announced fuzzy logic-based electric vehicle energy management system is assessed and contrasted with conventional rule-based control systems. This technology can greatly aid in the broad adoption of ecologically friendly transportation options by offering adaptive and intelligent control. The use of certain controllers, such as PI and fuzzy logic, in the energy management system gives the electric vehicles (EVs) a dependable and efficient operation, despite their lower efficiency when compared to conventional diesel and gasoline cars.by using the matlab simulink software 2024a
