This project presents a Face Recognition-Based Voting System designed to enhance the security and reliability of electronic voting. The system utilizes a webcam to capture facial images of users during both the registration and voting phases. Initially, user data is collected and stored in a dataset, which is then trained using a facial recognition algorithm. During the voting process, the webcam captures the live face of the individual and compares it with the trained dataset. If a match is found, the system authenticates the voter and allows them to vote by pressing physical push buttons corresponding to different political parties, with the selection displayed on an LCD screen. If the face is not recognized (i.e., not found in the database), the system triggers a buzzer to indicate unauthorized access, thereby preventing fraudulent voting. This system ensures a secure, user-friendly, and tamper-resistant method of voting using facial biometrics.
