The objective is this study is to Develop an energy-efficient utility function to optimize channel resource allocation and power control for D2D clusters in NOMA-enabled cellular networks. Enhance system performance by reducing interference and maximizing spectral efficiency while minimizing energy consumption. Validate the proposed scheme through rigorous analysis and simulations to demonstrate improvements in network throughput, energy efficiency, and overall utility.
Device-to-device (D2D) communication combined with non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) can further improve the quality of service for future communications systems, while also improving spectrum utilization and connection density in cellular networks. In this study, an effective power allocation technique is developed to maximize the performance of a D2D communication system based on NOMA for imperfect Successive Interference Cancellation (SIC) decoding. To overcome the non-convexity of the problem due to integer limitations and coupling variables, an alternate optimization method was developed to determine the optimal solution for each subproblem utilizing Lagrange duality analysis and the sub-gradient descent method. Finally, the numerical simulation results demonstrate the advantages of the proposed joint optimization strategy for energy efficiency in power control and channel resource allocation.
