The main objective of this project is using of feed-forward compensation will reduce the disturbances in the torque, owing to its poor disturbance rejection capability.
In this project, one Degree of Freedom (1-DOF) and two Degree of Freedom (2-DOF) control structures for wind turbine emulation is proposed. It first illustrates the design and performance of 1-DOF control structure. It further proposes two controllers along with their pre-filters in 2-DOF structure which has superior performance than 1-DOF structure.
The design of the controllers and pre-filters is explained with the help of root locus. The performance of the wind turbine emulator with the proposed control structures is demonstrated through simulations. The proposed system is modeled in Matlab/Simulink.
