The objective of this project is to enhance data security in cloud storage by implementing a double encryption approach using AES and RSA algorithms. By encrypting files sequentially with these two robust techniques, the project aims to significantly improve protection against unauthorized access and data breaches. The goal is to ensure higher levels of confidentiality, integrity, and data secrecy, addressing the limitations of traditional encryption methods. This approach will provide a more secure solution for users storing sensitive information on cloud platforms like Dropbox, ultimately increasing trust in cloud storage services and safeguarding user data from potential cyber threats.
Cloud services are already hiring information to recent developments in cloud computing. Users can access low-cost cloud services from Dropbox and Google Drive storage. Here, we give a protection mechanism that offers a higher level of protection by encrypting and decrypting the files. The file that we upload to the cloud is encrypted using the double encryption approach. The two techniques are used sequentially to encrypt the file twice.
The RSA algorithm is used to encrypt the file after the AES algorithm. While the algorithm is running, the corresponding keys are created. The level of security is raised by this method. Security level, speed, data secrecy, data integrity, and cypher text size are some of the different factors that we have taken into consideration here. Our approach is more effective since it meets all the criteria, whereas the traditional approaches did not. DropBox is the cloud service we utilised to store the file's content, and the file is encrypted using the AES and RSA algorithms.
