Objective

The primary objective of the Drug Inventory and Supply Chain Tracking System is to create a secure, user-friendly, and intelligent platform that facilitates seamless interaction among administrators, pharmaceutical vendors, and buyers. The system is designed to empower administrators with the ability to approve vendor registrations and manage product listings by enforcing compliance and regulatory standards. For pharma vendors, the objective is to provide a streamlined interface to manage inventory in real-time, monitor stock levels, track expired medicines, and efficiently handle order updates.

Abstract

The Drug Inventory and Supply Chain Tracking System is a web-based platform designed to simplify the operations of pharmaceutical management by providing dedicated functionalities for Admins, Pharma Vendors, and Buyers/Users. This system ensures efficient management of pharmaceutical products, stock levels, and order tracking while promoting a seamless and user-friendly experience. The Admin role includes approving vendor registrations and managing vendor-added products by approving or rejecting them to ensure compliance with regulations. Pharma Vendors can register and log in upon admin approval, add new products, manage stock levels, track expired medicines, view orders, and update order statuses with relevant comments. On the buyer side, Users can register, browse products, place orders, and track their order statuses. Additionally, users can view their delivered medicines, monitor their consumption, update their consumption status, and reorder products as needed. In addition to the core functionalities, the system now incorporates a Machine Learning-based recommendation feature. By utilizing Content-Based Filtering from the UCI ML Drug Review dataset, the system will provide personalized drug recommendations to users based on their specific disease needs. This recommendation engine ensures that users receive tailored suggestions for medicines that can help them manage their health conditions effectively. This feature enhances user experience by offering relevant and timely suggestions, thus making the process of ordering medicines more efficient and aligned with individual health needs. The platform integrates inventory management, order processing, consumption tracking, and personalized drug recommendations into a single, efficient system. By reducing manual errors, enhancing communication, and ensuring timely medicine delivery, the Drug Inventory and Supply Chain Tracking System addresses the growing need for digitization in the pharmaceutical sector, offering an innovative and effective solution for all stakeholders.
