Driver Drowsiness Alert System

Traffic and population is increasing day-by-day in India. Most of the accidents occur due to drowsy driving. Many lives and families are getting affected due to this reason. To overcome these issues we have designed this project. This project works on the main concept of eye blink detection. This project is used to improve safety for the vehicles and reduces road accidents caused due to the driver’s drowsiness.
In this project we are using Arduino controller, eye blink sensor & alcohol sensor. Eye blink sensor will continuously monitors the driver’s eyes in real time and sends the information to the controller. Arduino will verify data whether the driver opened or closed his eye. If the driver closes his eyes for few seconds it will detects the person is drowsy and sends buzzer indication to alert the driver. Also we are using alcohol sensor to detect the alcohol from the driver. If driver takes alcohol then automatically sensor detects and stops the motor.
