Development of a Comprehensive Smart Home Automation System with Integrated GSM Communication for Enhanced Security and Real-Time Monitoring

Project Code :TEMBMA3570

Objective

The objective of this paper is to design and implement a smart home automation system that uses GSM communication to provide real-time security and environmental monitoring. The system aims to enhance user awareness and safety by displaying caller information and sending SMS alerts for detected abnormal activities.

Abstract

In this paper, we present a smart home automation system that integrates GSM communication for enhanced security and monitoring. The system is designed to read the caller's number when a call is received and display it on a screen for user awareness. Furthermore, the system is equipped with various sensors to monitor environmental conditions and detect any abnormal activities. Upon detection of such events, the system automatically sends an SMS alert to the caller's number, informing them of the situation. This approach not only provides real-time monitoring and alerts but also leverages the simplicity and reliability of GSM technology to ensure effective communication and prompt response. The implementation utilizes a microcontroller to interface with the GSM module and sensors, ensuring seamless operation and user convenience. The proposed system offers a cost-effective and efficient solution for smart home security and monitoring, enhancing the safety and convenience of residents.
