Design of an Edge-AI Embedded System for Underground Water Quality Surveillance

Objective

The objective is to design an edge-AI embedded system that monitors underground water quality in real time, enabling early contamination detection and promoting safe, sustainable water management.

Abstract

This project presents an Edge-AI-based underground water quality surveillance system using Raspberry Pi, TDS sensor, pH sensor, turbidity sensor, DHT11, ADC module, LCD display, relay, and DC water pump. The system continuously monitors important water quality parameters such as TDS, pH, turbidity, and temperature. Edge-AI techniques are used to analyze the collected data locally and identify abnormal water conditions in real time. The monitored values are displayed on the LCD, and the relay-controlled water pump is operated automatically based on water quality conditions. The proposed system provides a low-cost, intelligent, and efficient solution for water quality monitoring and management.
