The objective of this project is to develop a secure and decentralized digital identity and document management system based on Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) and Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) principles. The system is designed to give users full control over their personal identity and documents, allowing them to securely upload, verify, download, and track their files. Blockchain technology ensures tamper-proof storage and verification, while administrators can manage users and monitor system activities through audit logs. Overall, the system aims to enhance privacy, security, and trust in digital interactions by reducing dependence on centralized authorities and providing a transparent, user-centric identity management solution.
This project presents a Decentralized Identifier (DID) and Self-Sovereign Identity (SSI) system for secure digital identity and document management. The system supports two primary roles: Admin and User. Admins can perform tasks such as logging in, viewing users, monitoring audit logs, and managing system operations, ensuring administrative control and transparency. Users can register, log in, upload documents, verify their authenticity, download documents, and track their downloads, maintaining full control over their personal data. The front-end is developed using ReactJS for an interactive user interface, while the back-end combines SpringBoot (Java) with blockchain technology to enable decentralized, tamper-proof storage and verification. MySQL is used for structured data management. By integrating DIDs and SSI principles, the system ensures enhanced security, privacy, and trust in digital interactions, providing a practical implementation of self-sovereign identity solutions.
