Objective

Hybrid Logic Style (GDI + Transmission Gates) • Leverage Gate Diffusion Input (GDI) technique to design basic logic functions (e.g., AND, OR, XOR) used in the carry-generator and sum logic, reducing transistor count and power. • Use Transmission Gates (TG) (i.e., complementary pass-transistor structures) where beneficial (e.g., multiplexers, gating logic) to maintain full voltage swing and reduce resistance / delay. • Combine the two logic styles in a “hybrid” way, such that their strengths (GDI’s low power, TG’s good signal integrity) complement each other.
