Automatic Engine Locking System through Alcohol Detection

Objective

The main objective of this project is to reduce accidents by Automatic Engine Locking, which are occurring due to driving in alcoholic state.

Abstract

Abstract:

Drunken driving causes the road accidents. This project proposes a prototype for the detection of driver’s alcohol intoxication and subsequently alerting them. In this system we are using alcoholic sensor with Arduino and a dc motor to demonstrate as vehicle engine. GSM is used to send SMS notification. Alcoholic sensor will continuously check the driver’s alcoholic intensity. If the alcohol intensity is high it will send information to Arduino. Arduino will in turn activate relay and stops the vehicle engine. GSM will send SMS notification as the driver exceeded alcohol limit. LCD is used to display the messages.
