Automatic Electronic Toll Collection System using RFID

Project Code :TEMBMA3131

Objective

The main objective of this project is to reduce traffic in toll gates. In this project we have implemented a RFID based Vehicle identification with toll collection system and automatic gate open in tolls.

Abstract

In this project we have implemented a RFID based Vehicle identification with toll collection system and automatic gate open in tolls. This project uses RFID Technology. This uses a Reader and a tag. This system reduces the need for motorists and toll authorities to manually perform ticket payments and checking vehicle details. Thus it is more efficient system by reducing traffic and human errors. This system makes the vehicle drivers to pass the toll booth without stopping and waiting up to their turn. The amount will be deducted from the RFID card which is rechargeable and the details of the car will be stored to data base.

In this for every vehicle we will attach a RFID tag. If any of the vehicle comes near to a toll gate the reader will read the tag and provides the information regarding that vehicle and cuts the toll amount in the card and opens the door.
