Objective

The primary objective of the system is to develop an integrated web-based platform for efficient surplus food management. It aims to connect donors, beneficiaries, volunteers, and administrators through a centralized system. The platform will enable donors to upload surplus food details with quantity and expiry information. It seeks to allow beneficiaries to view available food and submit meal requests easily. The system will facilitate volunteer coordination for timely pickup and delivery of food. It also aims to provide real-time tracking and status updates for transparency. Ultimately, the objective is to reduce food wastage and contribute toward achieving zero hunger in society.

Abstract

Surplus food wastage remains a significant challenge despite the growing number of people facing hunger and food insecurity. An Integrated Web-Based System for Surplus Food Management and NGO Coordination Towards Zero Hunger provides a centralized platform that connects donors, beneficiaries, volunteers, and administrators. Donors can publish surplus food details including quantity and expiry time to ensure safe redistribution. Beneficiaries can view available food and submit meal requests through a secure login interface. Volunteers coordinate pickups, deliver food to users, and update delivery status in real time. Administrators manage users and volunteers while monitoring donations and overall system activities. By enhancing coordination, transparency, and efficiency, the platform contributes to reducing food waste and supporting the goal of zero hunger.
