The main objective of this paper is to design a power efficient sigma delta ADC using telescopic op-amp as a integrator in this proposed design of ADC.
This paper focuses on enhancing the power and performance of the Sigma Delta ADC through improvements in its modulator components, namely the integrator and comparator. By leveraging the advantageous characteristics of both the integrator and comparator, a novel approach is presented. The integrator circuit is implemented using a telescopic op-amp, known for its high power efficiency and speed. Furthermore, the design incorporates a low-power, high-speed, and low-offset dynamic latch comparator, resulting in significant performance enhancements for the Sigma Delta ADC. To validate the effectiveness of the modified Sigma Delta ADC, extensive simulations were conducted using Tanner tools with a 0.25µm technology and a supply voltage of 2.5V.
