Abstract

This project presents an Automatic RFID Detection-Based Railway Identification System designed to enhance station-level train recognition and information dissemination using Raspberry Pi and RFID technology. Each railway station is equipped with an RFID reader, while trains are fitted with unique RFID tags. When a train approaches or arrives at a station, the RFID reader detects the tag and identifies the train. The system, controlled by a Raspberry Pi, then announces the train name through a speaker and simultaneously displays the train information on an LCD screen installed at the station. This automated solution helps passengers easily identify arriving trains, improves communication at railway platforms, and reduces the reliance on manual announcements, contributing to a more efficient and intelligent railway infrastructure.
