Objective

The objective of AI-Powered Automatic Pothole Detection and Filling System for Smart Road Maintenance is to develop an intelligent system that detects potholes in real-time using AI and automates the filling process. This ensures safer roads, reduces maintenance costs, and enhances transportation efficiency

Abstract

This project presents an AI-powered automatic pothole detection and filling system using Raspberry Pi and a web camera mounted on a robotic chassis. The system detects potholes in real time using image processing techniques and autonomously moves to the location to fill them using a DC water pump mechanism with tar. It also sends the pothole location via email to higher authorities for maintenance action. The proposed system provides a low-cost, automated, and intelligent solution for improving road safety and enabling smart road maintenance.
